Being Slain in the Spirit

There are many things that are practiced within many churches that are contrary to Scripture, but in a large majority of cases this can be put down to poor interpretation of Scripture, or maybe simple ignorance. However there are certain things that have no basis in Scripture at all, and yet are promoted as being clear and absolute signs of the Holy Spirit at work. The practice of “being slain in the spirit” is one such thing, and the little “s” I assign to the word spirit is very intentional.
