He points out the weakness of the gospel via this model and at the same time mentions the Alpha Course in this re-definaition. It produces a weak gospel which in my opinion is a weak and different Jesus than that of the scriptures. The outcome? Weak faith, weak walking, weak discerning people. I have put below, the two links that I found to be very clear in why it is to be avoided that I gave my sister, and thankfully, the chat I had with her and her asking the Lord for guidance, was enough to steer her away from it. I did this course way back and at the time it first came out, but was not able to see what I see now, although I took part very guarded. I did not know about universalism back then and the other things that are hidden within it - I was more wary of the 'holy spirit' weekend stuff that seems to be the focus of the whole course - the experiential aspect, which thankfully did not take place where I went.
