In order to show that this ministry is not simply desiring to condemn anyone and everyone who we personally feel is wrong in their doctrine, I would like to offer this audio that I found online, which is an interview with the author of the Shack, where the interviewer attempts to get right to the heart of the doctrinal views promoted within this book that are considered false.
The core difference seems to be the doctrine of penal subsitution, where Jesus Christ is considered the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and the differences will become very clear throughout this interview.
As an outsider looking in, I believe this is an extremely fair interview, and the views from the author himself are put across very well, as he was given the fullest opportunity to do so. It is my firmest belief however, that any believer with their discernment based in the Word of God as opposed to personal opinion alone, will begin to witness for themselves the inherrant dangers of the doctrine promoted through this book.
