Proverbs
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil.

Proverbs 3:7

The Word
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

I Am

weary, tired and worn

This beautiful song by Jill Phillips says so much in so few words.

It is a place we all get to at some stage sometimes even more than once, during a single day. Praise our Lord that we can rest in Him – when our minds and bodies are so weary from the sojourning we must endure while going through the regeneration of God, as He slowly forms Christ in us. Where would we be without this rest? He is our only constant, He is very wise. He is always near and He is our peace that surpasses all understanding.

God bless you

(As soon as I can work out how to move the actual song from my computer onto this site, I will post it for you to listen to.)

I Am

Oh gently lay your head
Upon My chest
And I will comfort you
Like a mother while you rest
The tide can change so fast,
But I will stay
The same through the past,
The same in future, same today

CHORUS:
I am constant; I am near
I am peace that shatters all your secret fears
I am holy; I am wise
I’m the only one who knows your heart’s desires
Your heart’s desires

Oh weary, tired and worn,
Let out your sighs
And drop that heavy load you hold
Cause Mine is light

I know you through and through;
There’s no need to hide
I want to show you love
That is deep and high and wide

Oh gently lay your head
Upon my chest
And I will comfort you
Like a mother while you rest
